Betting Preview 02/09/2020
This week's betting: G'day punters. Welcome to the first betting post here on The 12th Man. This section will solely focus on the weeks football around the world. Hopefully providing some winners for readers. The 'Betting' page will comprise of my thoughts on games, competitions to come and what I believe is good value. I'll also include my Bet Slip for the week. Without further ado lets get into the fixtures. We start with Wednesday's MLS fixtures. The first game that sticks out to me is Portland Timbers vs LA Galaxy and the Over 2.5 goals market at $1.44 at Bet365. The 7 games each team has played this season have resulted in 26 and 23 goals respectively. An average of 3.7 and 3.3 goals per game. Not only this but the last 4 games against each other have all resulted in over 2.5 goals. Both teams come into the game in relatively good form and always pose a goal threat with players like Diego Valeri, Sebastian Blanco and Cristian Pavon all in good form. If you want to add some more value I don't mind the LA Galaxy draw no bet at $2.25. The Galaxy started the season poorly but seem to be hitting their straps with star recruit Cristian Pavon in stellar form. Together in a multi you can get some good value here. Other MLS markets I don't mind are Orlando away to Nashville who they beat convincingly 3-1 only a week ago, you can get $2.50 at Bet365. I also like Sporting KC and Seattle Sounders to continue there good form against Dallas and Salt Lake respectively. For this you can get $1.70 and $2.90 for Seattle who surprisingly go in as underdogs against Salt Lake. Who have been leaking goals recently.
Moving on to Brazilian football, there is a host of Serie A matches scheduled for the same time as MLS. Flamengo come up against a stubborn Bahia team who do not like to drop points at home. Considering the way the Brazilian powerhouses have started this season under new coach Domenec Torrent it's not too hard to see Bahia holding their own in this match up. However Flamengo's recent form has improved, going unbeaten in their last 4. I can honestly see this game resulting a stalemate. The draw is at $3.10. In another interesting clash we see struggling Goias playing Corinthians at home. Both teams have really failed to get going so far this season. Not much was expected of Goias this season, especially in comparison to the expectations of Corinthians fans. I like the away team here. Despite their early season failings they always have the quality to beat anyone in the league, and I can see their star power proving too much for Goias. You can get Corinthians to win at $2.20. I also like the Under 2.5 goals market for Fluminense vs ATL GO who both have had low scoring output so far this season. Briefly onto this weekend's Nations League fixtures. I like a Germany vs Spain Both Teams to Score at $1.66. Turkey are good value to beat Hungary on home soil at $1.60. Hungary have lost 6 of their last 7 matches including losses to Montenegro and Slovakia whereas Turkey are unbeaten in 6 including a draw against France. Other value plays also include Italy and Netherlands at home to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland at $1.30 and $1.50 respectively. Saturday's fixtures see England coming up against Iceland. Despite the controversy surrounding the squad Gareth Southgate chose to pick, England have more than enough quality to beat Iceland. I like a -1 handicap here at $1.80 as I can see England winning by 2 or more.
So here's my Betslip. I've gone for a mixture of games resulting in a 7 Leg multi paying $45.13. I'll be placing $10 to get a return of $451.36.
That does it for this weeks betting tips. I hope you enjoyed the first betting article published to The 12th Man. Let's make some profit!
